New Bombay Indian cuisine part II
Check out the first part of our New bombay authentic indian cuisine part 1
Our tummy pinpoint this again.
It seems that we plan to try each of their dishes haha. Anyway, here's another steaming spicy dishes from New Bombay Authentic Indian cuisine.
Mutton (made of lamb) biryani (rice-based food)
Chicken madurai
Last time I ordered Chicken Tikka masala, now chicken madurai for a change. I love this curry dish because of its creamy consistency, medium spicy and very addicting!
Err.. hubby ordered this and he forgot its name. Tsk
Anyway, it's chicken. If we dine here again (surely it is) I'll take note of this ;)
Samosa
Empanada-like.
Cheese naan
Oh we super love this bread! even if it is "just" a bread, its cheese blends well inside that as if you're eating solely a cheese.
dry fruit shake (Lassi)
Yogurt drink (Lassi) on which it has a very coarse grain of nuts and dry fruit. Not suitable for people with cough :p
The owner of this resto is very nice and proactive. The funny thing was, we thought he doesn't speak tagalog because HE IS AN INDIAN. So we talked to him in english. But then in the middle of conversation, he suddenly said " dito na po ako lumaki sa Pilipinas." :D

Bacon and mushroom carbonara. Success!
My ingredients for our dinner..
What I did:
What I did:
- Cook the pasta (whether spaghetti or linguine) for 10-15 minutes, al dente
- After draining the pasta, set aside for awhile.
- In a separate pan, add 2 tbsp of olive oil then cook 6-10 rashes of sliced bacon until brown
- Add sliced mushrooms then wait for 5 mins
- Add the creams (as shown above) then simmer for 5-10 mins
- After that, add 2 egg yolks, stirring it continously to the pan. As an alternative you can put cheese instead of eggs.
- salt and pepper (1 tsp each)
- Mix it with your pasta.
Ta-da!
The outcome is rich and creamy.
If you want it a bit thinner, add 1/4 cup of water.
What to do with the egg whites?
Mix it with your fried rice. Don't waste it

New Bombay: Authentic Indian Cuisine
Grocery again, that means eating out.
We scour first the Glorietta 3 restaurants to try something new to our taste. We were actually thinking if Vietnamese or Indian cuisine. And so we've made our decision.
When you think of indian dishes, you say, "Ah! curry", "spicy".
They also have a stall at Food choices inside Glorietta 4, however, I find it less tasty and refined than their food in restaurant.
It tasted like potatoes and onions with 2 dips (spinach and uhh.. I forgot the other one..barbecue -like sauce?)
Aha, hubby ordered this, so expect that this will burn your tongue!
Then this is what I've ordered, I told to the waiter to make it medium spicy.
By the way, this is yummy. Creamy and lots of blended spices and herbs.
Biryani, the most popular indian rice dish.
Even if their servings are small, I tell you it's so rich that you'll feel full.
DESSERTS SIDE:
Hubby ordered his desserts, Gulabjamun. It tasted like caramel sauce, almond nuts, rosemary sauce, saffron and sweet ball like bread.
While I ordered my desserts, Kulfi.
At first, it may be odd. But then it gets yummy and yummier in every bite.
And it has this grit texture due to grinded almond nuts also with rosewater, vanilla and cream.
We spent 1,120Php to our dinner, but hey we were able to take home some of our food.

What I just bought from VMV Hypoallergenics
Worth 580Php
My skincare is not much into makeups which gives weight to my face that makes me so uneasy. Lip balm/gloss, loose powder and eyeliner is fine, sometimes BB cream. So I prefer more of a cleanser and moisturizer.
I first heard of VMV Hypoallergenics from the blogs I read and has pretty much of good feedbacks and reviews so I got curious and bought it yesterday at Glorietta.
My previous facial wash was Milk tea facial foam from Etude House which lasts for a year. You may notice that I only use one facial wash per year. Because.. That's me.
Anyway, I tried it awhile ago to my face, and I'm happy to say that I'll be buying one again from their boutique. This orange cream has this small beads to sloughs off my dry and rough skin particularly on my nose and forehead. The after effect still made my skin smooth and moisturized unike other wash I used that I have to frequently put on moisturizer.
They also accept major credit cards.
ABOUT MY SKIN:
My Skin type?
Normal to dry skin
Zits?
None. But only during PMS and lack of sleep.
Allergies?
Hmm.. Dust maybe. Usually if the climate is hot, my pores on my nose opens and itchy!
Skincare intervals?
I wash my face 2x a day (morning and night)
Other skincare?
Massaging your face upward will make your skin relax

Tri Mo Shawarma Co.
Pork Sisig
From 80Php now 90Php-95Php (I forgot the exact price)
Shawarma Sisig
100Php-105Php (I forgot the exact price)
At first sight the name Tri Mo Shawarma Co. Was like a company but then if you re-read it, "Try Mo Shawarma Ko." get it? clever isn't it?
I first heard it from my sister, she told me that, "May masarap na shawarma sa Lagro, sobrang dami tapos malaman pa." But that was way back then before I tried it. :)
Tri Mo Shawarma Co. Is the talk of the town especially if you're living near fairview. Out of curiosity, hubby and I scour the place of Lagro.
There you are Tri Mo! We found you, It was just near the main entrance, near the arc of Lagro.
What they say is true. Very affordable, big servings and so meaty! They've come up with 2 yummy sauces (the white and the red orange)
And oh! A little confession to make, my post may sound "first time" but the truth is, I've tried for the nth time already. Anyway, let's ASSUME this is my FIRST shall we?
MOVING ON..
The place is exposed, simple, not too extravagant and crowded at peak hours (around 8pm-10pm). The thing I like about is the ambience, it's like you're free to be yourself. No pretensions at all.

Goldilocks: Chocolate mousse cake
Chocolate Mousse
500Php
Cakes aren't just for special occassions BUT for cravings as well :)
I also tried Red Ribbon's choco mousse, in comparison I guess RR's choco mousse is better than Goldi.
So what makes Goldi and RR's choco mousse cake different?
Their mousse.
Goldilocks's mousse is more buttery taste rather than creamy milky unlike RRs'.
But then based on Goldilocks and Red Ribbon's prices which are 500Php and 594Php respectively. It commensurates.

After dinner, I still crave for desserts so hubby and I went to Pizza hut, Park square.
Hubby ordered Mozzarella stick (139Php) while I ordered Dessert sampler.
I super love their trio desserts which consist of mango panna cotta, mud pie sundae and choco lava cake that really satisfied my cravings. And it was "almost" all mine :)

Dynamite cheese stick but no cheese XD
Though for my version no cheese..because... I FORGOT TO BUY CHEESE. Dagnabbit. How can I forget such main ingredient?! But that doesn't stop me to cook.
Anyhoo, here's how I did it.
INGREDIENTS:
Cream Dory
Lumpia wrapper
Siling haba (used for filling in the cream dory)
Salt/ seasonings
WHAT I DID:
- I cooked first the cream dory on medium heated pan
- While waiting for it to cook, I prepare the siling haba, slicing it lengthwise; remove the seeds.
- As the cream dory is done, fill it inside the siling haba and add some seasoning, then wrap it in lumpia wrapper
- Cook it in deep fry oil on high heated pan.
And voila! thats it :)
Eat it while it's hot! Crunchyyyy :)
EASY! :)

Arr! It's Blackbeard's Seafood Island matey!
We buy groceries every week, dinner at night.
Seafood Island popped up in our minds that we curiously want to try their BOODLE FIGHT for a very long time.
Hubby: "One separate order of crispy sisig". Worth Php189
Ta-da! For the nth time, again..Torturing ourselves in eating.
Even so, we were happy for this experience.
A very short funny moment:
(It'll be in tagalog)
Waiter: Sir, pahiram muna nung hot sauce ha
Hubby: Sige, eto oh.
Waiter: Sensya na sir, di gaanong maanghang hot sauce namin
Hubby: Oo nga eh, manamis-namis pa nga
Waiter: Parang ketchup lang haha!
Hubby: Haha! :)
The waiter is such a jolly person indeed. :)
Anyhoo, I like waiters who has sense of humor, as if you feel very welcome and at ease. No pretensions at all.

Cello's doughnuts and dips
This is my 2nd time around to order at Cellos', If I recall it right, I ordered oreo milkshake that time.
It's like medium size (I guess around 14-16oz) when you buy juices from other local store.
mudslide milkshake
Php140
Choco bites
10pcs for Php35
Our rendezvous would be in skydome, Sm North. So I stopped by at Cellos' to kill some time.
I told hubby that I'll spare him half of my milkshake & bites I ordered.
It took me around an hour to wait for him..T'was like, "honey, what took you so long? In a count of 5 I'll eat this all up!".
But still.... waiting.. waiting.. Took one bite..wait again..Then being enticed again with these desserts.
Good thing I was able to control it, I spared 1/4... Yay!

Mongolian rice bowls by Sweet Inspirations
It seems that whenever hubby and I go out just for grocery, we end up torturing ourselves in eating.
Again..browsing restaurants in Mall Of Asia.
We often pass by this buffet restaurant but we didn't bother to try it because we're wondering why so few customers..well you are able to head count them? Maybe because they are beside Yakimix? You know..marketing strategy stuff
Spices and veggies to choose from: tofu, carrots, bean sprout (togue), siling haba/siling labuyo, tomatoes, red and green bell pepper, and cabbages
Lots more of spices and sauces!
After deciding your mix, the food attendant will cook it and you will be given a number..And wait. For how long? Around 5-10mins.
Here goes my order! YUMMY! By the way, I did not follow their list..I did my own mix. I suggest to put beef which is soft and/or squid into your mix, it absorbs well the sauces.
Desserts lala! There are random of desserts like gelatins, choco mousse, cakes, fruits, halo-halo, brownies, eclair, creampuff
I indulge FIRST to DESSERTS BEFORE my MAIN MEAL. Chewing..chewing.. Average. I find their eclair odd? Twas my first time to devour (what a word) a kinda sour taste like eclair? Hmm.. Nevermind, I did not ask for more of that. Creampuff ball one, good. Choco mousse, good. cakes, bland (Possibly, we missed something out).
I was not satisfied with their desserts so I ordered a separate one. Which is Blueberry Cheesecake for 87Php. Now I'm satisfied! ;)

But then last night around 9:30pm we dared to dine here..
But for dinner it is 380Php
Now, to begin with your mix and match dishes you can either pick rice, noodles or both ( I forgot to take a photo of it. Anyhoo, the noodles is somewhat like sotanghon.)
A snapshot of various ingredients to choose from

There are also meats to choose from: Beef, chicken, chicken liver, squid balls, squid and pork
