Mongolian rice bowls by Sweet Inspirations

It seems that whenever hubby and I go out just for grocery, we end up torturing ourselves in eating.
Again..browsing restaurants in Mall Of Asia.

We often pass by this buffet restaurant but we didn't bother to try it because we're wondering why so few customers..well you are able to head count them? Maybe because they are beside Yakimix? You know..marketing strategy stuff

But then last night around 9:30pm we dared to dine here..

But for dinner it is 380Php

Now, to begin with your mix and match dishes you can either pick rice, noodles or both ( I forgot to take a photo of it. Anyhoo, the noodles is somewhat like sotanghon.)

A snapshot of various ingredients to choose from

Spices and veggies to choose from: tofu, carrots, bean sprout (togue), siling haba/siling labuyo, tomatoes, red and green bell pepper, and cabbages

Lots more of spices and sauces!

You may follow these list of sauces according to your palate OR you can also make your own mix

There are also meats to choose from: Beef, chicken, chicken liver, squid balls, squid and pork

After deciding your mix, the food attendant will cook it and you will be given a number..And wait.  For how long? Around 5-10mins.

Here goes my order! YUMMY! By the way, I did not follow their list..I did my own mix. I suggest to put beef which is soft and/or squid into your mix, it absorbs well the sauces.

Desserts lala! There are random of desserts like gelatins, choco mousse, cakes, fruits, halo-halo, brownies, eclair, creampuff

I indulge FIRST to DESSERTS BEFORE my MAIN MEAL. Chewing..chewing.. Average. I find their eclair odd? Twas my first time to devour (what a word) a kinda sour taste like eclair? Hmm.. Nevermind, I did not ask for more of that. Creampuff ball one, good. Choco mousse, good. cakes, bland (Possibly, we missed something out).

I was not satisfied with their desserts so I ordered a separate one. Which is Blueberry Cheesecake for 87Php. Now I'm satisfied! ;)

We always give a tip of around 5%? Err..Hey, don't bother to compute it..We give a tip..done! haha!

The bottomline is, I was satisfied with their rice bowls, Choco mousse, creampuff ball and Blueberry cheesecake.

We'll dine here again, that's for sure. Super stuffed..

Another torture event.

(I told you I will post my old blog here because..grr, just read my "It sucks" blog)

July 5, 2010

Hello everyone!

Here I am again, hehe =)

Did you just say FOOD???!! OMG!

Okay, I will list down the restaurants we have tried according to our palate. =)

1. Cabalen -4/5 The food here is soo yummy, especially their sisig, mango shredded with peanuts something? (oops, I forgot the name) and their lechon so crispy!

Cabalen serves Filipino cuisine! Bopis, dinuguan, kare-kare etc. They also have Japanese food  such as tonkatsu, cali maki, sushi =)

Dessert?  Chocolate fountain is available here (I can't resist that! haha), make-your-own halo-halo and some fruits.

What about the price? It's P400 for adults, kids? I think it's free coz my niece (4years old)ate there for free hihi!

2. Kamay-kainan - 3/5 This place is very affordable! We also love to eat here coz the food here is very tasty (not salty). They serve Filipino cuisine.

Desserts? Bread, brownies, gelo, "dirty" ice cream, mango. I only like their dirty ice cream coz  the rest are too bland tasting for me.

Price! Only P250 for adults; kids eat for free if they're less than 4feet.

3. Tramway - 3/5 A very inexpensive buffet! Only P205!! Chinese food!

10-15 varieties of food to choose from. The food here is very healthy: steamed fish, pancit, steamed/fried siomai, steamed egg, veggies, century egg etc. The food is not too salty nor too bland for my taste.

The desserts are mostly fruits.

So, it is an inexpensive yet healthy buffet restaurant =)

Tramway is located at Timog and Banawe =)

Tramway at timog again! Buffet buffet and everything buffet!
We don't love food huh?
We went here to celebrate hubby's late mom (September 2)

Hubby's plate

Oh, what happened to you?

He then became sleepy..
He got ZzZz. =p

Food to our tables in Jade Valley

Pata tim
beef with habitsuelas
Sweet & sour chicken

 Pancit
tofu
ginisang kangkong with garlic

Buchi! It's a sweet rice ball( I think?) with a mongo filling =)

My healthy dessert! tomatoes and papaya

Well, there you have it.
Jade Valley is located at timog near GMA. It was our first time to try their buffet and not that many people to compete with your food =p
It is newly promoted buffet (maybe since 2009? ugh, correct me if I'm wrong.)
Buchi is what I like here (kinda oily though?) but yummy!

The summary is, the food here is average, very mild tasting and affordable =)
