We went to Baguio just for a short trip this weekend. We actually stayed at Hotel Veniz (I'll post separate blog for this) for 3 days and 2 nights. Anyway, you shouldn't miss to visit the talk of the town, Cafe by the ruins. The good thing is, it's really near to our hotel. Just a short walk that's all. As we stroll uphill and 2-3 blocks to shuntug st. Alas! There you are.
Their place is very cozy and somewhat relaxing.
Long draping trunks, rocks and leaves gives an effect of a nature lover scene.
Even their menu's design matches the place.
Now, let's move on to their food.. Shall we?

Strawberry shortcake

Anyway, as I further researched on about shortcakes, there are 2 versions on making it. One is biscuit-like ( which is the above picture) and the other is sponge cake.
As for this specific shortcake, it should be absorbed by its strawberry juices and cream to fully appreciate the taste.
