Looking at high and tall buildings makes people imitate you. Strolling in Makati makes you feel like you're in New York or in Wall street.
Not doing only clerical thingie such as typing, photocopying and be a messenger but we do lots and looooots of inventories of all floors like checking, tallying, balancing and sticker tagging (not to mention common sense here and photographic memory) I also learned on how to interact with the employees and adapting to be in a professional way. This OJT experience teaches us on how to be patient (not to mention doing manual inventories), on how to dress appropriately and of course, personally learned separating work from family. Whatever exasperation you had at work shouldn't be brought to your house so there would be no conflicts.
I may not be in a position to say this but based through my observations, patience and being practical (madiskarte) are the main things to be successful or should I say to survive at the very competitive world.
I've also noticed that, the lower the position the more obnoxious the person is. The higher the position the more humble and kind the person is. Pobably because the person with a low/normal position is still striving to be on top that's why he/she is aggressive. While seniors are already complacent and reached their goal to be like that.
But both positions are very essential to a company so...Life is really like that =)
